In 2021, I decided to increase my writing speed. I wanted to self-publish a whole trilogy and I am proud to say that I’m well on my way to accomplish it.
What has changed the game for me?

It may sound weird, but I did not know people could write books this fast. Like it was not allowed. Then, I heard of people writing 1 book a month, or even more!!!
The last 2 novels had taken me 2 years each to write, so it was reality.
I don’t think I’ll ever get to writing a book a month, but writing 3 in a year was a challenge I could tackle.

I broke down my goal to how many words a day to get to the word count I was aiming for. This allowed me to stay on track and keep my eye on the goal.
I even made it public that I was going to write my trilogy in one year.

Just writing 400 to 500 words a night on my phone, either using speach-to-text or typing, was all I needed to do daily to get my stories writen. I showed up almost every single night.
I almost never felt inspired to write, but I nudged myself into opening the Google Doc file, read the last couple of sentences, and then I got more ideas. I tricked myself by getting started.
The 3rd novel should be ready in November 2021!
